Pennsylvania Water & Septic Inspection
When moving into a new home or perhaps adding a new water line, it is pivotal to the health and safety of your family that it is thoroughly inspected. The smallest leak in an underground pipe or a foreign substance that may have been undetected could be fatal to you and your family. Let R.E Ziegler handle the Water & Septic Inspections and you will never have to fear.
So how do we handle our inspections you may ask? It is a very detailed and strenuous task, which is necessary to keep everyone in your home safe.
For Well Inspections, it is a four step process that first starts with a collection of water samples for analysis that are tested by approved labs. What we look for are bacteria such as e-coli and dangerous gases such as arsenic. Each state has a required distance-from-home code for wells which will be measured accurately. Our experts will also do a physical examination of the well itself. They will make sure all vents, screens and gaskets are firmly secured on the top of the well and there are no structural deficiencies. They will end the inspection by making sure the well is able to pump water properly and the quality of water is up to standards.
For Septic Inspections, we break down the process into four steps as well. Firstly, our experts will be certain that the septic tank is operating properly; tanks, baffles and pumps are all up to operating code. They will test to make sure there is no flow restriction as well. Our team will follow up by inspecting the system for any sanitary hazards that include surface discharge and waste backup into your home, which no one wants! An inspection inside of the tank happens next with the use of a camera that covers the baffles, current concrete structure and dividing walls. Finally, the team will track your wastewater. As long as your waste is going to the septic tank and not the surface, you are in the clear!
